Play to Pray
I don’t know exactly what a prayer is today
Yet I do know how to creatively play
The curious seven year old in me
Is as lively as I allow her to be
I don’t know exactly if I’m praying like you might
Yet I do know my wonderment delights
The joy of it from my heart resounds
Bending time until the NOW rebounds
I don’t know exactly how my prayers matter
Yet I do know they quiet the worlds chatter
The rising voice of higher Self can be heard
And there is always kindness in her wise words
I don’t know exactly what prayers will come to play
Yet I do know how to welcome them each day
They might want to dance, paint, or sing with me
And tomorrow perhaps a silent game of poetry
I don’t know exactly what a prayer is for ALL
Yet I do know how to offer up the call
Prayers should be whatever you need of heartmind
Experimental play! hide and seek until you find…
Blessed be the freedom
to uniquely & universally pray
