Rolling through

Cars line up to pump

A different kind of fuel

My arrival on foot

Is greeted equally with

Enthusiasm for my presence here

Before the barista

As if she had been expecting me all morning

As if she awakened today

With intention to serve the world with liquid kindness

The kindness that seeps deeper

Than the warm sip slipping down my throat,

The kindness that awakens me more than the caffeine entering my bloodstream

This kindness enters the flow underneath my life

Hydrating my spirit

Changing the watershed of my day

Unknowingly entering the flow of kindness I will pour into others all day

Oh how this liquid kindness

floats us all into the same ocean
