Pink Hour

We gather here

All the birds, my dog & me

To greet the hint of pink—

To meet temporality

of this new day

In the hint of pink swirls of sea

In the hint of pink tuffs of sky

As if seeking the pink together

Gives us the collective faith

Gives us the embodied hope

Gives us the earthly peace

That this beauty & this mortality

This impermanence of being

Reflected everywhere here

Hints to our reason for being—

to gather together,

to reflect in awe,

to choose to love

yet again this new day

We gather here

All the birds, my dog & me

To greet the hint of pink

May the pinking

The fluttering

The hinting

The fleeting beauty

witnessed here together

bring lasting moments

of faith, hope, peace

in all beings gathered

May it be so
