Landscape
Thank you gravity
for your unseen forces
upon me, this earthworm
This stillness of puddle,
Holding steady our landscape
Where we all may meet
To dance upon the soil
Creating our own beat
Worm up from beneath, wriggling
Rain down from sky, swirling
Me grounded with my barefeet, tapping
Thank you light
For your unseen vibration
Penetrating me, this earthworm
Even this murkiness of puddle
Harmonizing our landscape
Where we all may greet
To silently sing with air
Making our own sounding
Puddle collecting her drops, saturating
Worm breathing through skin, surfacing
Me open mouthed with my awe,
exhaling time, surfing
Thank you Spirit
For your unseen influence
Upon me, this earthworm
This puddle forming before me
This Aliveness of landscape
Where we all may manifest
To belong to something
so vast,
so unknowable,
yet so intimate—
As the water & the worm between my toes,
As the worm & me submergent in water,
As my toes & water kissing the earthworm
Thank you dear landscape
offering your infinite seen & unseen
manifestations of being with—
Never alone, always unique
All equally precious
