Neverlost

Trailing behind

In streamers of echos

Sailing ahead

On currents of deja vu

Just in time, my now body

Here finding the line, the Way

Conceiving—

Tethered to forest weathered

Roots breaching the moss

Branches reaching for mist

My arms lengthen, legs strengthen

Over streams, rivers crossed

As Poetry pilgrim, I am neverlost,

Wandering with open palms,

Receiving—

Wondering whispers on the trail

Perceiving—

Pathways, passage of glides

Speeds of sound, snake, slug

Curves of twigs, time, tides

In any weather,

Relieving—

Sailing ahead, trailing behind

Just in time, I am neverlost

Tethered to the weathered

Going Beyond—a Journey within

Believing—

Moss or mist,

Branch or bog,

Roots or reach,

Always in steps with God
