Innocence
Nothing to fear
Your innocence of
Being alive, being here
In my path,
As much as I am in yours
Nothing to fear, here
Yet my body leaps,
Shutters and shakes
As my voice yelps,
shrieks and quakes
As my heart startles
Scares and escapes
As my spirit stills into
The Center of Grace
As I run in place
I flight, fright and freeze
All at once in deep confusion
Of your neutral presence
Your innocence of
Being alive, being here
Oh wild one, on your path
Forgive me for my confusion
May you teach me to discern
The difference between
Ignorance, uncertainty
and hate
Nothing to fear,
Yet fear itself—
The choices we might make
off our Centers of Grace
