Forest Speed

As if I needed a reminder

Through the woods to slow

To slow my steps and breath

To slow my thoughts and swept

As if I needed a reminder

Around the turn to bend to curiosity

curiosity of my direction sown

curiosity of my path unknown

As if I needed a reminder here

In spaces of wild and wept

In places of kind and crept

My body already knows to slow

To dance my curiosity

What my mind cannot accept

What my heart cannot correct

My body already knows to slow

To dance my curiosity

Into spaces of wisdom and weft

Into places of brave and kept

My body slows to know

the treasures of change,

Courage to let go, or to flow
