Winter, birth me

Winter, swell me in my incubation

Of confusion and curiosity

Twist me inside out

Emerging me with new insight

Winter, press upon me stillness

Of silence and stunning beauty

Open me to loving the unfamiliar

strange landscapes of evolving

Winter, womb me in warmspring

Of the eternal and ephemeral

Bathe me in life’s paradox

Befriending me with gifts of death

Winter, birth me in my surrender

To divine co creativity

Bloom me from thy belly

Hummingbirding me with all-that-is—

Kissing the flowers of impermanence
