Sequins
Blinging, bleeping, bedazzling
Resonance across my chest
Ricochetting, radiance of sounding
Light landscape across concert stadium
Mirrored reflections on my skin
The shimmers repeat all around me
In waves of fabric bejeweled swirls
On skirts of all the girls & Swifty moms
Moving me like a sparkly word
That rises off the pearly page, then twirls
A word that glimmers—takes me for a ride
A midnight ride into a poem
That I remember from the future
A poem written by the glitter of its wake
The sequins coating my skin
In midnight rain of starlight
Pouring through the collective consciousness
Like flickering drops of the ocean
Topping my birthday candles
Tonight, wrapping my hips
Tickling the backs of my bare knees
Like cosmic hands on my brave shoulders
And on the vulnerability of my back
Sequins encircle me in halos arousal
Tint-tillating Halos of bluegreen light
Our reputations built on a flickering—
Our perceptions living in quantum skin
Our brief time here,
Flickering in & out of existence
Momentary bursts of bright
In the vast bluegreen of midnight
Catching our beauty in glances
Our essence, like the sequins on this dress
The Shimmering reality of this wild life
