Native Spring

Sprung from a promise of land

All Flora or fauna birthed

Emerging here of soil & sand

Time Immemorial on Earth

As ancient Spring renews

Her Life commitments

To Nature, in yearly grew

A merging of sacraments

Behold! The Nativity scenes

As verdant in pastoral gardens,

As in city sidewalk seams—

Everywhere claims of Eden

Native to this hallowed place

Nurtured now of society & sun

Will climate migrations displace

Or emergent New Earth begun?

Indigenous, once a detachment word

With airs of wild, a racial partition

ALL beings are of nature, as stewards

We must embody wild revolution

Blessed be Earth day,

May we unite to take care of our home
