(W)rapture
She has my full body
My full body permission for
The unexpected squeeze
Wrapping my torso with Her trunk
after I offered Her an apple
A simple gesture of nature—
The Feeding
A profound gesture of nature—
The Elephant hug
Full body wrapture
Wrapped with a single arm
With roughest skin painted smooth
by South African earth
With the strongest of gentle
With heat of sun and cool of mud
With the most intimate of power
With the awe of Nature’s life force
A Love that desires only
for the miracle of Life
As if I was hugged by
Mother Nature herself
A hug of 1000 years—
in this moment of wrapture
I know that I have been loved
since before my birth
I know that I will be loved
far beyond my death
I know that I am a part of every hug
ever given across my lifetime
She has my full body here now
With this one elephant hug
I will walk the rest of my days
With the full body sensation
I am always held by Life
And with any apple held in my hand—
The sweetest bite of technicolor
Every simple gesture made profound
Blessed be the wrapture of Mother Nature
