I have not known insouciant;

Nonchalant & carefree

Nor do I aspire the variant

Of seemingly to be at Peace

My cares of concern

My worries of weep

My angles of anxiety

Are forever mine to keep

The deeper peace within my bones

The peace I seek & tend—

My inherent never alone

Within the web of life I blend

What’s mine to carry

And yours to elate
