Earthwork
Wells of earth sit open faced
like a checkered board
Game of chance, skill, delight
Yet patterning for beginning, not wining
Designed for renewal, not dominance
Open faced, “Let’s set an intention
for the Starts”, she says warmly
As the cold spring rain patters
It’s Resonance above us, singing
Here inside the glow of green house
becoming like a chapel,
together offering prayer
over our starts
Over ourselves as we commence
Our earthwork in synchrony, open faced
Pressing fingers into soil
to form a micro nest for seed
Infusing hope, love, health
As much for new life
as for ourselves in communion with life
As if running our fingers
along the earth wells—
Amplifies our intentions, beyond surrender
like our open faced palms to sun
Her Intention, my homing
My homing, her intention
All the same, adding our part
to the Will for greater good,
a greater good to include us here now
In our earthwork, a beginning
Whatever will we grow together?
Open faced, with the work of intention
Homing on the plate of the future
This is our work, here on earth
Growing in cycles with Love
