The Necklace
The stones collect, firmly
Held in our palms, our plans collect
Carrying weight & earth value
Like precious jewels, beads, pearls strung
On the thread through time
Some are chosen carefully after much reflection,
Scanning Life fields of choices
Some show up in our path like a full moon
Thrust into our hearts on solo evening walk
Some slip into our hands, gifted from another
With love or worry or sorrow
For us to carry with them
The stones gather, gently
Held in our palms, our plans gather
Wielding energy & cosmic value
Like precious jewels, beads, pearls strung
On the thread through time
Looping in spirals, encircling us
Like a valuable necklace to wear
Either as a weighty encumbrance
Or as an energetic resource
Or sometimes,
Even with our carefully crafted necklace
Life pulls so powerfully the thread breaks
spilling all the stones….
Only to begin our collecting all over again
As the stones collect & gather
As time spirals & encircles
May the value always be found
In the abundance of love, of beauty,
In the light of our gifts shared & received
And in the patterns of change
With the shifting of stones,
Breaking of threads,
The gathering, collecting again
The receiving, releasing again
May the making & remaking of the necklace
Make the meaning of our lives
