Interfaith Awe
Oh where in the world
Do we find awe & wonder?
Waking up the owl in me
Breathing deep, what tree
Just exhaled, an extension of Thee
Sky so vast, changing everlast
Oh Where in the world do I walk
With awe & wonder in stock?
In the mountains that humble
In the wind that rumbles
Here just now this crow that struts
As if to out do the stillness of heron
The stillness I feel so deeply
With my grandson on my lap,
joy weeping
Facing out with HIS wonder of birds
Oh Where in this world
Do We find awe & wonder?
No need to walk with Saints
Just float with my paints
In colors of my mind
Flowing in from all Divine
Just touch fingers to skin
Feel my pulses persistence
With Miracle of Aliveness
Body born of body spiritness
Channeling co-creativity aware
As much as new green everywhere
Oh Where in the world do we begin?
Finding wonder & awe before the mirror
My presence dropping into
new perceptions
The One & ONLY Planet that we know
Our consciousness as unified
as night sky over Rwanda
as co-creative as the pea patch
butterfly
In the grand forest of island
Oh Where do we find awe & wonder
Here alone in Nature? or together?
Never alone with potentiality of plants,
Humanity in LOVE
with ALL-That-Is, below, above
Oh where do we find awe & wonder?
Look WITHIN
As we are never separate, ONE KIN
In vibrations of intimacy
Diversity Unified with our Divinity
*I created this poem from collection of shares at an interfaith/interspiritual climate circle retreat exploring where we find awe&wonder. Reflections from Buddhists, Sufis, Catholics, Jewish, Christians, Pagans, Quakers, Bahais, Mystics, eco-spiritualists in the circle woven into this prayer for our shared reverence for the Earth.
**spiritual offering—where do you find awe & wonder? Reflect on how this changes your relationship to all of life on Earth
