Light Bridges

Crossing over holy bridges

made of light and breath

Parted by trees or roots underneath

Casted by my dreams or their death

I pause here before crossing creek

Waiting for the relief

that only light and air can speak

Guided over rushing water

Parted by rocks and sand underneath

I feel the future meet my past,

And I am altered on the altar of nature

As if she had been waiting here for me

Crossing over holy bridges

Many before me

already paused, mid stream

To breath in the light, casting dreams

Or the inverse—

letting go of everything, unto life

desires, imagination, creativity

Becoming the dream of life itself

To know thy maker
