Noon of Night

When life steals my air

What do I breathe in?

Drowning in the dryness

What soothes my skin?

When the moon wakes

Greets me in noon of night

Knowing my fluid dreams

Curl up small in sunlight

What do I breathe in

When Darkness drinks

At first bitter, sipping

Of nightcaps on brink

Breaking moon beams

Entering my vital sleep

What is here for me

Now to take in—to keep?

The shadows casting fabric

Lanky, murky threads by day

Wraps me, holds me tight

Here at noon of night stay
