Never, Evermore

Oh dear creature of deep

I have never met you

Yet I have danced with you

As if twirling through a kelp forest

made of trees

Catching the dappled light of the sea

I have never seen you

Yet I have sensed your reach

As if my skin made of a thousand fingers

tingling with the currents of summer sky

I have never heard from you

Yet I know your joy

As if evolving through darkness of uncertainty

Pulling me to shine evermore aliveness of being

I have never moved where you roam

Never consumed what you eat

Never rested where you sleep

Never glimpsed what you see

Yet I am reverently in love with you—

light being of the deep

As if our Joy intermingle in our flexion of

the reach, the wander, the wonder

As if our truths merge in our mutual bellies

Of humility, smallness, unknowables

As if our Lights origins meet here now

from the same cosmic spark emitting

both from the past & future

As if our intimacy springs from

The infinite possibilities within

The Great Mystery

Oh dear creature of deep

I have never met you,

Yet I take your divine glow

with me now everywhere

My heart, evermore luminous
