Taking in rays of light, bright

On faces turning, yearning

toward daylight, insight

Energy in spoonfuls, mulled

of air spread, breastfed

to mouths agape, in wait

like baby birds nested

As if solar breakfast, expected

My morning vision, mission

beauty consumed, bloomed

If daybreak tasted—life unwasted
