Sunday school

In an old school house

With painted gymnasium floors

Thin black lines sweep circles

under bare-feet, arcs of shoulders,

swirls of wrists

Dusted blue tin roof rafters

from another time almost hover

over transom windows

filtering luminous Light,

under cloud canopy

awashing faces & spaces

as if a mirror to the biolight of beings

intuitively arriving for the learning

the collective learning of our time

long linen drapes hang from floor to ceiling

as if stories have been told here

on stages of forever

And the stories

swinging, twirling,

tapping, clapping,

skinning, spinning

make a home here too

Imagine there’s no countries,

No possessions, no heaven

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion, too*

Imagine all the people

Livin' life in peace….

Toning echos of generational dreams

still playing out in vibrational fields

In this Sunday school curriculum of

Peace Consciousness

In a classroom with no front or back

no one ahead or behind—

a consensual practicing

through arriving Souls

breath and beat

sweat and leap

shake and quake

whirl and weep

In this old school house planted on

grounds of a retired military compound

transmuting education for war

into a wordless homily for peace

One dancer at a time

Where once soldiers prepared for war,

Now Joy warriors practicing for peace

One step, one breathe, one song

Arriving home to Peace consciousness

May the world live as One

*I hear the echos of John Lennon’s words as “no religion, to kill or die for”

**inspired by Soul Motion community conscious dance experience at Madrona House on Fort Warden grounds, Port Townsend, WA
